Daniel spoke with Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra Maestro and good friend of the Jukebox, Ronald Royer to tell us about the upcoming performance of Camille Saint-Saëns “The Egyptian”, Saturday May 11th 7:30pm at the Scarborough Citadel (2021 Lawrence Avenue East). Ronald also gave us a look at the orchestra’s entire 2024 season.
Rising-star pianist Thomas Torok joins Ronald and the SPO to play “The Egyptian” . Ronald spoke of he and the orchestra’s thorough enjoyment of working with Thomas as he brings this lively work to life. Other pieces to look forward to include Stavinsky’s “Greeting Prelude” and Dvorak’s “Symphony No. 6” . It promises to be a stellar evening of entertainment.
